The 29th Pipeline Pigging and Integrity Management Conference (PPIM) will be accepting technical paper submissions until 31 October.
Proposals should include a title, an abstract of no more than 200 words, and the full name and complete contact information for all authors from each paper. Abstracts can be submitted here.
Event organisers Clarion and Tiratsoo Technical are encouraging early abstract submissions as the conference program may be almost full the final deadline of 31 October.
Technical sessions at the event will include:
- Utility pigging – cleaning, sealing, gauging
- In-line inspection
- Inspection intervals
- Integrity assessment, including assessment of defects detected by inspection
- Prioritization of maintenance and repairs
- Geometry inspection
- Leak detection
- Corrosion detection and monitoring, including special threats such as cracking
PPIM is the pipeline industry’s only forum devoted exclusively to pipeline pigging for maintenance and inspection, as well as pipeline-integrity assessment and repair.
The 2017 conference will bring together engineering management and field-operating personnel from both transmission and distribution pipeline companies concerned with improved operations and integrity management.
The event will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center and the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Houston, Texas,from 28 February to 2 March.
A series of training courses and an exhibition will precede the conference .
