The Pipeline-Pipe-Sewer Technology Conference (PPST) has opened a Call for Papers for the event, which will take place in Cairo, Egypt on 17-19 September 2017.

A collaboration between the Euro Institute for Information and Technology Transfer (EITEP) and the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce Egypt, PPST will focus on the exchange of information on technologies, best practices, and possible solutions for the pipeline, pipe, and sewer sector, which suffers from a wide range of problems.

It will explore the latest technology, safety, cost-effectiveness and sustainability of the industry, and will feature governmental officials and industry-leading speakers from research facilities, dedicated to improving the pipeline, pipe and sewer technologies.

Papers have been requested from three broad topics:

  • planning and construction
  • operation and maintenance
  • special issues.

Interested speakers have been invited to submit an abstract, a maximum of 300 words, describing the main ideas of their paper together with the presenter’s CV.

Abstracts should not focus on company presentation but on technical and managerial classifications, research and development, new technologies or recent case studies.

The presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and distributed to the conference attendees, and all abstracts and papers will also be published in the online abstract paper database.

The deadline of abstract submissions is 15 April, with speakers notified by 15 June 2017.

An exhibition will run parallel to the conference, and will feature organisations and companies, displaying the latest technology, products, and services.

The co-ordination of the technical and scientific content of the conference will be carried out by two international advisory committees, focused on energy and water.

The discussion around pipe-related infrastructure will provide several synergies and will be of benefit to the local and international industry.
