Corinth Pipeworks has supplied Sapura Energy with pipe for the offshore section of the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP).
Corinth provided the integrated oil and gas service provider with 37 km of 36 inch (914 mm) diameter high-quality carbon steel (DNV SAWL 450 FD) with anticorrosion coating and concrete weight coating.
The pipes were manufactured and coated at the company’s plant in Thisvi, Greece, before being loaded at Corinth’s deep water port and transported to Sapura’s vessel for installation.
Sapura laid the pipe at the Dardanelles Strait in the Sea of Marmara as part of the TANAP Project, which aims to bring natural gas produced at Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz-2 gas field to Turkey and Europe.
