Saipem wins US$1.3 billion EPCI contract

Saipem has been awarded a US$1.3 billion engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract for an offshore pipeline project in the Middle East.

Under the contract, Saipem will deliver EPCI related activities for two 32 inch (813 mm) export pipelines, two 24 inch (610 mm) corrosion-resistant alloy (CRA) intrafield pipelines, risers, spool pieces.

It will also deliver subsea structures, including a short onshore section and offshore brownfield topside modifications.

The award includes the novation of substantial CRA linepipe and long lead items contracts.
