Manufacturer optimises pipeline closure device

A global provider of pipeline solutions has modified its market leading pipeline closure technology.

T.D. Williamson (TDW) has updated its D2000 quick-actuating pipeline closure to satisfy a broader range of applications, meets more codes and is available with a shorter lead time.

The D2000 makes it easier and safer for operators to run any pigging or integrity program to optimise product flow and reduce downtime.

The device can be opened or closed in a single motion while the operator stands safely to the side and is more efficient as it requires minimal tools and less personnel than other closures.

The product is now being manufactured with what the TDW calls the ProSeries™ Advantage, which means the product continues to have all of the features the market trusts, but has been standardised to fit a wider range of sizes and technical specifications.

“The D2000 retains the appearance, functionality and emphasis on safety and efficiency operators know and trust,” said TDW Senior Product Manager – Pigging Products Troy Geren.

“But through standardisation, it now meets more requirements.

“In addition, we’ve been able to shorten the lead time and reduced the need for costly customisations, while assuring safe, code compliant performance.”
