Nominations are open for two awards to be presented at the Pipeline Pigging and Integrity Management Conference and Exhibition (PPIM).
The annual awards, for young achievement and outstanding contribution, are being presented by PPIM in partnership the Young Pipeline Professionals USA (YPP) on Thursday 21 February at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Houston, US.
The awards are designed to honour the achievements of young professionals in the pipeline industry.
Young Achievement Award
Open to individuals under the age of 35, this award will recognise an individual’s valuable and original contribution to the industry.
Recommendations for the award should reference the nature of the nominee’s achievements, their innovation or contribution to the industry, and their leadership potential.
The winner of the Young Achievement Award will receive a US$2,500 voucher for flights and accommodation to a destination of their choice, a US$2,500 voucher for use in the Clarion Pipeline Engineering Bookstore, an engraved plaque and an interview with Pipelines International magazine.
Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award
This award will recognise an individual’s and company’s services to the pipeline industry.
Recommendations for this award should reference the nature and significance of services, demonstrated leadership, and personal and professional achievement.
The winner of the Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award will receive a US$1,500 voucher for flights and accommodation to a destination of their choice, a US$1,000 voucher for the Clarion Pipeline Engineering Bookstore, an engraved plaque and an interview with Pipelines International magazine.
Nominations can be made by anyone but must be endorsed/supported by senior managers within the organisation.
The nomination form should be completed and submitted with a 300 word or less biography of the nominees and a summary of their contributions or achievements.
The deadline for nominations is Friday 11 January 2019.

Nominations will be evaluated by a panel of judges, who will then decide the winners decided.
This year’s panel comprises ADV Integrity’s Chris Alexander, Marathon’s Everett Johnson, T.D. Williamson’s Mike Kirkwood, DNV GL’s Pamela Moreno, the Canadian National Energy Board’s Joe Paviglianiti, Dynamic Risk’s Patrick Vieth and ROSEN Group’s Chris Yoxall.
