Gascade has awarded construction of six lots of the European Gas Pipeline Link (EUGAL) to a joint venture (JV).
The EUGAL pipeline, comprising 14 lots that total 480 km, runs from the Baltic Sea on Germany’s northern coast to the border of the Czech republic and will be powered by the Nord Stream 2.
The Bonatti–Max Streicher Germany JV will deliver the construction of lots 9–14 of the 56
The EUGAL runs parallel to the OPAL gas pipeline and, on completion, will enhance the distribution of gas to the heart of the European continent, with the capacity to deliver 55 billion m3/a of gas.
It is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2020, when the double line sections are delivered.
