Digital Transformation Zone returns to GPS

One of the most popular exhibition features, the Digital Transformation Zone, will return to the Global Petroleum Show (GPS) in 2019.

The Digital Transformation Zone will be back bigger and better when GPS 2019 takes place in Calgary, Canada on 11–13 June.

Due to popular demand, this year will see the exhibition feature triple in size with more than 835 m2 relocated to Halls D and E.

This dedicated zone will provide key insights into the world of digitalisation and how innovative disruptive technologies are transforming business models with the use of artificial intelligence, blockchain, robotics, machine learning, real-time data analytics and cloud computing.

With digital transformation rapidly changing the landscape in the energy sector, energy companies have significantly amped up their investment in the digital technologies in the last few years.

This has resulted in improved decision making for exploration and production assets, including reservoirs and pipelines.

Global investment in digital electricity infrastructure and software has grown by more than 20 per cent annually since 2014, reaching US$47 billion in 2016.

Attendees who visit the Digital Transformation Zone will be able to promote solutions for the North American energy market, meet with clients and suppliers, learn about new projects and technologies, and innovate new technological and strategic developments.
