ROSEN Group has been presented an international award for its new Pipeline DNA and Pipe Grade Determination service.
The company was awarded the 2019 Prestigious Technology Award by the Pipeline Industries Guild (PIG) at a ceremony in Manchester, UK in June.
PIG has been active for more than 60 years and is the only worldwide association of its kind catering directly to the needs of the pipeline industry.
The Pipeline DNA process uses ROSEN’s RoMat PGS data integrated with other information to ensure safety, compliance and performance.
It is used to help pipeline operators replace lost records, gain a better understanding of pipeline materials, identify rogue pipes from construction or repair and confirm the maximum allowable operating pressure.
ROSEN Head of Group Business Line Integrity Solutions Roland Palmer-Jones said the company was pleased to be recognised for its work.
“Congratulations to everyone at ROSEN who was involved in the development of this great new service that is already helping pipeline operators worldwide to demonstrate to stakeholders that they know their systems and providing invaluable information for enhancing integrity management,” he said.
Formed in 1981, ROSEN currently operates in more than 120 countries.
