STATS Group has signed an exclusive deal with Saudi Arabia’s Safari Oil & Gas (SOG).
The partnership will promote STATS’ range of pipeline isolation and intervention technologies in Saudi Arabia with a goal to establish a permanent base there, while in the meantime supplying equipment, services and personnel from its headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
As a supplier of products and services to the oil, gas, water and petrochemicals industries in Saudi Arabia, SOG employs more than 13,000 staff and is one of the country’s top 50 listed companies.
STATS Regional Director for the Middle East and Asia Pacific Angus Bowie said the partnership with SOG underlined the company’s commitment to growing its business.
“STATS Group has successfully delivered pilot isolation work scopes for both hot tap installed and launcher installed product ranges on behalf of Saudi Aramco and is working closely with major engineering, construction and procurement contractors to offer safe solutions on a number of projects,” he said.
“We believe Saudi Arabia could be a key market in the region which will make a significant contribution to the growth of our global business.”
To help facilitate the move and service the market directly, STATS Business Development Manager Hafiz Abdul Kareem has also relocated to Saudi Arabia from the United Arab Emirates.
