The Global Energy Show (GES), which was to go ahead in June, has now been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Event organiser dmg events has announced the postponement of its North American energy event, an annual exhibition and conference set to host more than 53,000 delegates.
The new dates for GES have now been confirmed as June 8–10 2021 in Calgary, Canada.
dmg events Vice President of Energy Nick Samain said the decision was not taken lightly with the health and wellbeing of its delegates, stakeholders and staff of paramount importance.
“By positioning to new dates in 2021, as the united voice of the Canadian energy sector we will be back and ready to deliver the best edition of Global Energy Show in its 54-year history,” he said.
Starting this April, GES will introduce conference and exhibition content in a digital format where global policymakers, industry innovators and energy CEOs will host discussions surrounding energy investment, resilience and innovative solutions in a post-pandemic world.
“During this crucial time, it is imperative for the Global Energy Show to continue to be the key platform for policymakers to host pivotal conversations for the industry,” said Mr Samain.
“In a world of change, robust leadership will be needed to address the complex demands and changing landscape of energy transition.”
